(1) Annual Meeting (9/11/2011) - The Road and Bridge Committee gave a presentation to the property owners in attendance on September 17, 2011. The presentation was given by Roy Jenevein, the chair of the R&B committee. He covered the following issues: Road Guidance, ranch traffic density, 2010 rebuild work, current 2011 (Task 11) road and bridge work and a 5 year plan for the ranch road and bridge work. The slides can be downloaded from here.
(2) Task 11 Roadwork (7/25/2011 through 9/15/2011) - We have now completed, an additional 1,340 linear feet (1/4 of a mile) of Palomino Pl. It has been rebuilt with one foot wide concrete ribbons on each side and a 22 foot wide asphalt road. The work was made difficult by the lack of water needed to pack the road. Water had to be imported from Georgetown, Round Rock and Leander since two of Liberty Hill's five wells failed. This new section of road will expand the old 20 foot wide road to the new 24 foot width standard, with concrete protected edges to reduce our maintenance costs.
(3) Sundance Ranch Survey Work (4/20/2010) - The ranch survey work is now complete. Personnel from Landesign Services, Inc. counducted a major survey effort from March 8 to April 16, 2010 in Sundance Ranch, to assist with current and future road construction projects. The survey consisted of all of Palomino Place, and parts of Showhorse, Mustang Mesa and Appaloosa Run.
