
The status of Paint Pony work continued
The first phase of the work involves
creating the concrete ribbon curbs that run the edge of all new roads
in Sundance Ranch. These are formed up so that the asphalt will be
22 feet wide and then each ribbon will add one additional foot for
a total of 24 feet ribbon edge to ribbon edge. The ribbon is deep
enough to handle truck size loads and will encase the asphalt to
prevent water damage from undermining. The forming and pouring process
is shown below.








Where concrete driveways meet the asphalt,
the driveways are cut to meet up with the new ribbon curb. This provides
a nice clean interface between the new ribbon curb and the existing
driveway. The process and final result are shown below.
