Normal Operating Schedule: Open Mon - Fri 6:00 am to 6:00 pm

The South Entrance Gates 9/27/2008 -

We have found that some of the recent gate failures were due to a lightning strike that caused significant failures. Those parts have been replaced and the gate seems to be functioning wekk now. The loop relays have also been checked for correct functionality. At this time the South Entrance Gates seem to be working properly and are monitored daily for any signs of malfunctioning.

The North Entrance Gates 9/27/2008 -

The major problem with the north gates are wear on the burried detection loops. These have had to be repaired several times. The current Road & Bridge Task 8 will address a permanent solution to this problem. The current asphalt from the gate code box to past the gates will be replaced and new loops will be burried in the road. In general, these gates are also functioning properly at this time and continue to be closely watched for any issue that may arise.

We hope that this explains what has been happening with the gates and assures the SR Community that we are doing everything in our power to keep them operating in the best and safest manner. If one of the gates fail we open the opposite side for the safety of our community until a resolution to the problem can be obtained.
